About Us
We are an established computer skills training provider, offering a range of user training courses at every skill level from complete beginner to advanced user.
Our main aim is to help businesses get the most from their investment in IT whilst improving individuals’ confidence and independence in using computers.
Ideally situated for Aberdeen City and Shire we are based in the Westhill Business Centre and can provide either one-to-one or group training at your own site or at dedicated training facilities. Our ethos is to keep group sessions small (between 2 and 4) to ensure maximum learning potential from the training course.
We pride ourselves on excellent service delivery, supporting and nurturing the user throughout their learning journey. We recognise no two learning journeys are the same and so provide the flexibility to understand your needs to provide you with the ideal training solution.
Over the years Nicholson Solutions has grown and developed, providing training for a number of organisations, large and small, throughout the North east. We have continued to increase our training portfolio and develop our own team of experts. All of our training topics, materials and courses are constantly reviewed and developed ensuring we are best placed to understand and advise on your training solutions.
Company History
The company was established in 2002 by Philippa Nicholson, based in Kingswells, Aberdeen, to provide computer skills training and IT support to businesses and individuals.
In 2003 Philippa gained her Certified Training Professional status for the European Computer Driving Licence. She believes the ECDL is a strong tool in promoting general computer skills, and has based Nicholson Solutions' training materials around the ECDL syllabus.
Runawaymouse, training-by-telephone service, was developed through 2004 and early 2005.
From 2007 we have also provided business admin support, and in 2008 we launched our on-line business admin database, called MyBusiness, which is a monthly subscription service aimed at taking the pain out of business administration. Nicholson Solutions can therefore provide admin manpower, a structured database for your business transactions, or both.
In June 2008 the business moved to new premises in Westhill Business Centre. Our training portfolio and our Nicholson Solutions team both continue to grow from year to year.
Other services
Our IT support service focuses on computer protection in the form of backup and anti-virus, and also broadband and wireless assistance for both business and domestic users.
