Case Study : Taking control

Most of us on starting out with a website will have someone who knows what they are doing create it for us. However there are many reasons why you may at some point need to go independent and take over control of the site and all the editing and maintenance. I commonly find that companies who found a cheap way to get the site created, are no longer satisified with that provider once they are established, or that the person who provided the cheap service does not provide a business-like turnaround when updates are required.

That's when it's time to get the skills in-house and take control of your site. This doesn't mean you won't use expert help on graphic design or search-engine optimisation, but it does allow you to manage updates and keep the site current.
